We were asked to set up a long-term time lapse on Goondicum Station in Central Queensland, to document the Burnett Mary Regional Group’s (BMRG) latest water quality improvement project which focuses on streambank restoration.
We sourced the technical equipment here in Brisbane, then jumped in the Clearshot Media ute and got on the road for the 6-hour drive up to Goondicum Station near Monto.
Given the remoteness of the property, WiFi for the receiver was our greatest challenge. But through some creative problem-solving, technical know-how, and quite a lot of elbow grease from ourselves and the property owners Rob and Nadia, we successfully installed the pole and equipment. The camera was safe in its housing and the transmitter was sending images back to the WiFi receiver.
Our time-lapse equipment will record project activity onsite for 8 weeks. We look forward to tracking the progress and providing top-quality content to the BMRG team, which will then be used to promote the project and in detail project reporting.
If you’re looking for time-lapse photography to capture a construction project, a custom carpentry job, an artwork in the making or an event, give us a call. We love this stuff!
